Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced the recruitment notification for Executive & Non-Executive Posts. The notification, released on 20/03/2024, aims to fill 108 vacancies across Bokaro Steel Plant, SAIL Refractory unit, and SAIL Collieries Division. Positions : Executive & Non-Executive Cadre

Educational Qualification:

  1. Consultant / Senior Medical Officer:
    • PG Degree (MD / MS / DNB) in relevant discipline.
    • 3 years experience in relevant field.
  2. Medical Officer:
    • MBBS, MBBS with Degree / Diploma in a relevant subject for Medical Officer (OHS).
    • 1 year experience in relevant field.
  3. Attendant cum Technician:
    • Matriculation with ITI (full time) in relevant trade.
  4. Assistant Manager:
    • B.E./B.Tech (full-time) in any branch with PG Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety.
  5. Operator and Technician Trainee:
    • Matriculation with 03 years (full-time) Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  6. Mining Foreman:
    • Matriculation with 03 years full-time Diploma in Mining.
    • 1 year experience in relevant field.
  7. Surveyor:
    • Matriculation with 03 years (full time) Diploma in Mining or Diploma in Mining & Mines’ Survey.
    • 1 year experience in relevant field.
  8. Mining Mate:
    • Matriculation with valid Mining Mate Certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR, 1961 (For Metalliferous Mines).
    • 1 year experience in relevant field.

September AI CPI-IW out. DA Expected to Cross 50% from January 2024

The Labour Bureau has published the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the month of September 2023. The All-India CPI-IW declined by 1.7 points in September 2023, from 139.2 in August 2023. Based on the indices till August 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 was expected to cross 50%. However, even with the CPI-IW declining by 1.7 points in October 2023, still the DA can be 50% from January 2024. However, the chances of it becoming 51% is less. For the calculation of the DA, CPI-IW indices for 12 months, i.e. January 2023 to December 2024 are required. The indices for three more months are required to calculate the exact DA. Based on the indices till September 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 is almost certain to cross 50%.
