Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research has announced the IGCAR Recruitment 2024 notification for Scientific Officer, Nurse, Pharmacist posts on 01/06/2024. The notification is for 91 vacancies across different Constituent Units of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) situated across the country. Eligible candidates can apply online from 01/06/2024 and must submit their applications on or before 30/06/2024.

Positions : Scientific Officer, Nurse, Pharmacist

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have completed MBBS, PG Diploma, DMLT, B.Sc, PG Degree, or 12th.

Pay Scale:

The selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration per month as follows:

  • Scientific Officer: ₹67,700 – ₹78,800
  • Technical Officer: ₹47,600
  • Nurse: ₹44,900
  • Scientific Assistant: ₹35,400
  • Pharmacist: ₹29,200
  • Technician: ₹21,700

Age Limit:

The age limit for each post is as follows:

  • Scientific Officer: 35 – 50 years
  • Technical Officer: 30 years
  • Scientific Assistant: 30 years
  • Nurse: 30 years
  • Pharmacist: 25 years
  • Technician: 25 years

The application fee should be paid online. Category-wise application fees are as follows:

  • Scientific Officer: ₹300/-
  • Technical Officer, Scientific Assistant, Nurse: ₹200/-

Retired paramilitary personnel to get ex-servicemen status

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today announced that the government has agreed to grant retired paramilitary and central police forces the status of “ex-central police personnel”, on par with the defence forces’ “ex-servicemen”, thus enabling them to avail of various benefits. Addressing Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at a function today, Shinde said: “I know the kind of difficulties you have to face... I moved a proposal in the cabinet meeting today and everyone approved it with compassion.” A few hours earlier, speaking at the Raising Day function of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shinde had announced his intention to move a proposal in the Cabinet in this regard. Besides the CRPF and CISF, the beneficiaries will include personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
