97 Officer and Assistant Manager posts at Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI)

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released the SEBI Officer Grade A Recruitment 2024 notification for Assistant Manager positions on June 11, 2024. The notification invites applications to fill 97 SEBI Grade A Assistant Manager posts across various streams. Eligible candidates can apply online from June 11, 2024, to June 30, 2024. Educational Qualification

  • Legal: LLB from a recognized University / Institute.
  • General: Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma in any discipline / Bachelor’s Degree in Law / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or CA / CFA.
  • Information Technology / Engineering (Electrical): B.E/B.Tech.
  • Research: Master’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma in relevant subjects.
  • Official Language: MA in relevant subjects.

Pay Scale

Candidates recruited for the post of Officer Grade A will be offered the pay scale: 44,500 - 89,150.

Age Limit (as of 31/03/2024)

Candidates must not have exceeded the age limit of 30 years as of March 31, 2024, meaning they must have been born on or after April 1, 1994.

Age Relaxation

Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, PwD, and OBC candidates as follows:

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC / ST): 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + OBC: 13 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC / ST: 15 years

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

  1. Phase I (Online Screening Examination)
  2. Phase II (Online Screening Examination)
  3. Phase III (Interview)

Application Fee

The application fee should be paid only through online mode. Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories can pay only the intimation charges.

  • UR / OBC / EWS: 1000/-
  • SC / ST / PwBD: 100/-

Important Dates 

Applications are invited only during the specified dates. Candidates must apply online before the last date. Applications received after the last date will not be accepted.

Retired paramilitary personnel to get ex-servicemen status

Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today announced that the government has agreed to grant retired paramilitary and central police forces the status of “ex-central police personnel”, on par with the defence forces’ “ex-servicemen”, thus enabling them to avail of various benefits. Addressing Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at a function today, Shinde said: “I know the kind of difficulties you have to face... I moved a proposal in the cabinet meeting today and everyone approved it with compassion.” A few hours earlier, speaking at the Raising Day function of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shinde had announced his intention to move a proposal in the Cabinet in this regard. Besides the CRPF and CISF, the beneficiaries will include personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
