FREQUENTLY ASKED QUE5TIONS UNDER THE RIGHT TO
INFORMTION ACT, 2005 AND ANSWERS THERETO

Question : – What is the date from which canteen employees have been declared as Government employees.
Answer :- The canteen employees have been declared as Govt. employees w.e.f. 1.10.1991 vide this departments O.M. No.l2/5/91-bir.(C) dated 29.1.1992.
Question :- Is there ban on filling up of posts in Departmental Canteen.
Answer :- Vacancies in Canteens/Tjf fin Rooms can be filled. Reference is invited to O.M. No.15/2/2010-bir.(C) dated 13.10.2010 & 27.6.2011. This O.M. is uploaded on www.persmin.nic.in link Welfare -, Canteen Recent Orders/Circulars.
Question:- What is the status of recognition of Canteen Employees Association?
Answer : Process of Recognition is under progress.
Question :- Which is the competent authority for re-categorisation of canteens as per SIU recommendations.
Answer :- Head of the Department in consultation with Internal Finance Wing bivision is competent authority for re-categorisation of canteens. Orders contained in OM No. 13/6/2008-bir (C), dated 9/6/2008.
Question :- The date from which services of canteen employees is reckonable for grant of financial upgradation under ACP/MACP for the purpose.
Answer :- For the purpose of determining the eligibility for consideration of financial upgradation of canteen employees, the service will be reckonoble from 26.9.1983 or the actual appointment in regular pay scales.
