Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced the PNB SO Recruitment 2024 notification on 05/02/2024. The notification aims to fill 1025 Specialist Officer vacancies across India. Interested candidates are invited to review the provided details and proceed to apply online from 07/02/2024 to 25/02/2024.

Position : Specialist Officer (SO)

Educational Qualification:

  1. Manager Forex:

    • MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management or equivalent (minimum 60% marks).
    • Experience: 2 years experience as an Officer in the related field.

  2. Manager Cyber Security:

    • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics and Communications Engineering or M.C.A (minimum 60% marks).
    • Experience: 2 years experience in IT, with at least one year experience in managing IT & Cyber Security in large data centre / soc / c-soc handling.

  3. Senior Manager Cyber Security:

    • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics and Communications Engineering or M.C.A (minimum 60% marks).
    • Experience: 4 years experience in IT, with at least 2 years experience in managing IT & Cyber Security in large data centre / soc / c-soc handling.

  4. Officer Credit:

    • Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Or Cost Management Accountant-CMA (ICWA) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or
    • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from CFA Institute (USA). or
    • MBA or Post Graduate Diploma in Management or equivalent.
    • No experience is required.

      • No of Vacancies: 1025

Place: Across India

Pay Scale: Pay scale and other allowances will be applicable as per PNB rules. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary as follows:

  1. Manager – MMGS-II: ₹48,170 – ₹69,810
  2. Senior Manager – MMGS-III: ₹63,840 – ₹78,230
  3. Officer Credit – JMGS-I: ₹36,000 – ₹63,840

Age limit: Candidates should meet the following age limit criteria as of 01/01/2024 for Officer Credit, Senior Manager, and Manager posts:

  • Manager: Minimum: 25, Maximum: 35
  • Senior Manager: Minimum: 27, Maximum: 38
  • Officer Credit: Minimum: 21, Maximum: 28

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation applies to the following categories. Candidates belonging to reserved categories can check the age relaxation limits here:

  • SC / ST: 05 Years
  • OBC: 03 Years
  • Persons With Benchmark Disabilities: 10 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 05 Years
  • Children/Family members of those who died in the 1984 riots: 03 Years

September AI CPI-IW out. DA Expected to Cross 50% from January 2024

The Labour Bureau has published the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the month of September 2023. The All-India CPI-IW declined by 1.7 points in September 2023, from 139.2 in August 2023. Based on the indices till August 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 was expected to cross 50%. However, even with the CPI-IW declining by 1.7 points in October 2023, still the DA can be 50% from January 2024. However, the chances of it becoming 51% is less. For the calculation of the DA, CPI-IW indices for 12 months, i.e. January 2023 to December 2024 are required. The indices for three more months are required to calculate the exact DA. Based on the indices till September 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 is almost certain to cross 50%.
