Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) invites applications for the BEL Recruitment 2024 for the positions of Trainee Engineer and Project Engineer. The notification for these roles was released on 31/01/2024, with a total of 55 vacancies available on a contract basis.

Positions : Project &Trainee Engineer

Educational Qualification:

  1. Project Engineer / Trainee Engineer:
    Candidates should have completed B.E/B.Tech / B.Sc in relevant discipline.
    • Project Engineer: Minimum 02 years of relevant industrial post-qualification experience.
    • Trainee Engineer: Minimum 06 Months of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.

Pay Scale:
The following is the pay scale of selected candidates for the BEL Project Engineer and Trainee Engineer positions.

  1. Project Engineer: ₹40,000 – ₹55,000
  2. Trainee Engineer: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2024):
The upper age limit for BEL Trainee Engineer and Project Engineer Recruitment 2024 as of 01/01/2024 is as follows.

  1. Project Engineer: 32 years
  2. Trainee Engineer: 28 years

Age Relaxation:
Age relaxation is applicable for OBC, SC, ST, and PWD candidates. Candidates belonging to these categories can check the age relaxation here.

  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
  • Persons with Disability (PwD) having minimum 40% disability: 10 years

Selection Process:
The selection will be through:

  • Written Test
  • Interview

Application Fee:
The application fee should be paid through SBI Collect (online or through SBI Branch). Candidates belonging to PWD, SC, and ST categories are exempted from payment of the application fee.

  1. General / EWS / OBC / Other (Project Engineer/Officer): ₹472 (₹400 + 18% GST)
  2. General / EWS / OBC / Other (Trainee Engineer): ₹177 (₹150 + 18% GST)

September AI CPI-IW out. DA Expected to Cross 50% from January 2024

The Labour Bureau has published the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the month of September 2023. The All-India CPI-IW declined by 1.7 points in September 2023, from 139.2 in August 2023. Based on the indices till August 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 was expected to cross 50%. However, even with the CPI-IW declining by 1.7 points in October 2023, still the DA can be 50% from January 2024. However, the chances of it becoming 51% is less. For the calculation of the DA, CPI-IW indices for 12 months, i.e. January 2023 to December 2024 are required. The indices for three more months are required to calculate the exact DA. Based on the indices till September 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 is almost certain to cross 50%.
