1697 Apprentice posts at North Central Railway

RRC North Central Railway has announced the recruitment notification for Apprentice Posts on 15/11/2023. This notification aims to fill 1697 Vacancies for training in designated Trades as per the Apprentices Act 1961 across various Divisions.

Position : Apprentice

Educational Qualification : Passed SSC / Matriculation / 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, in aggregate, from a recognized Board.

  • Passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India.
  • ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT / SCVT is compulsory in the relevant trade.

Pay Scale:

Selected candidates will be given a monthly stipend as per Government Rules.

Age limit (as on 14/12/2023): Candidates must satisfy the given age limit as on 14/12/2023 to be eligible for the posts. Check the age limit given below:

  • Apprentice: 15 to 24 years

Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST / OBC / PwD candidates. Check Age Relaxation below:

  • SC / ST: 5 Years
  • OBC: 3 Years
  • Ex-serviceman and PWD: 10 Years

September AI CPI-IW out. DA Expected to Cross 50% from January 2024

The Labour Bureau has published the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the month of September 2023. The All-India CPI-IW declined by 1.7 points in September 2023, from 139.2 in August 2023. Based on the indices till August 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 was expected to cross 50%. However, even with the CPI-IW declining by 1.7 points in October 2023, still the DA can be 50% from January 2024. However, the chances of it becoming 51% is less. For the calculation of the DA, CPI-IW indices for 12 months, i.e. January 2023 to December 2024 are required. The indices for three more months are required to calculate the exact DA. Based on the indices till September 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 is almost certain to cross 50%.
