State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the SBI Clerk Notification 2023 on 16/11/2023. The SBI Clerk Recruitment is an annual event, and this year, SBI is inviting applications from Indian nationals for the Clerk position. The recruitment aims to fill 8773 vacancies for SBI Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) 2023.

The SBI Clerk salary details are as follows:

  • Clerk / Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales): 17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920.
  • Basic Pay: 19900

SBI Clerk 2023 Age Limit: The age limit as of 01/04/2023 is:

  • Between 20 to 28 years.
  • Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/04/1995 and not later than 01/04/2003 (both days inclusive).

Age Relaxation: Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India Guidelines:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Gen – 10 years, OBC – 13 years & SC – 15 years

Selection Process: The selection will be based on:

  • Prelims Exam
  • Main Exam

Fee payments have to be made online. Application Fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted for any other examination or selection in the future.

September AI CPI-IW out. DA Expected to Cross 50% from January 2024

The Labour Bureau has published the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the month of September 2023. The All-India CPI-IW declined by 1.7 points in September 2023, from 139.2 in August 2023. Based on the indices till August 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 was expected to cross 50%. However, even with the CPI-IW declining by 1.7 points in October 2023, still the DA can be 50% from January 2024. However, the chances of it becoming 51% is less. For the calculation of the DA, CPI-IW indices for 12 months, i.e. January 2023 to December 2024 are required. The indices for three more months are required to calculate the exact DA. Based on the indices till September 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 is almost certain to cross 50%.
