1603 Apprentice posts at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL)

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has recently released the IOCL Recruitment 2023 notification on 11/12/2023. The notification aims to fill 1603 vacancies for Graduate, Technician, and Trade Apprentice roles across various locations in India. Interested and eligible candidates are invited to apply online for these positions from 16/12/2023 to 05/01/2024.

Positions : Trade Apprentice, Graduate Apprentice, Technician Apprentice

Educational Qualification:

  1. Technician Apprentice:

    • Candidates should have completed a Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline.

  2. Trade Apprentice:

    • Candidates should have completed Matric with 2 years ITI in the respective discipline.

  3. Graduate Apprentice / Accounts Executive:

    • Candidates should have completed any Graduate degree / BBA / B.A / B. Com / B.Sc.

IOCL Apprentice Salary:

According to the Apprenticeship Rules, the Trade, Graduate, and Technician Apprentice will be paid a consolidated Stipend.

Age limit (30/11/2023):

To be eligible for the Apprentice position, candidates must be 18 years old (minimum) and not older than 24 years old (maximum).

Age Relaxation:

The age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, and PWD candidates. Please refer to the age relaxation details:

  • Schedule Cast / Scheduled Tribe (SC / ST): 05 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 03 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 05 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + OBC: 13 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC / ST: 15 years

The Labour Bureau has published the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for the month of September 2023. The All-India CPI-IW declined by 1.7 points in September 2023, from 139.2 in August 2023. Based on the indices till August 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 was expected to cross 50%. However, even with the CPI-IW declining by 1.7 points in October 2023, still the DA can be 50% from January 2024. However, the chances of it becoming 51% is less. For the calculation of the DA, CPI-IW indices for 12 months, i.e. January 2023 to December 2024 are required. The indices for three more months are required to calculate the exact DA. Based on the indices till September 2023, the expected DA for central government employees from January 2024 is almost certain to cross 50%.
