400 Posts : National Defence Academy and Naval Academy : UPSC

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the NDA-I 2024 Notification, announcing 400 vacancies in the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. The examination, administered by UPSC, is designed for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 153rd Course, along with the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January 2025. Aspiring candidates are invited to apply online from 20/12/2023 to 09/01/2024.

Educational Qualification:

  1. Army Wing of National Defence Academy:
    • Candidates must have passed 12th standard under the 10+2 pattern.
  2. Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy:
    • Candidates should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics under the 10+2 pattern.
    • Candidates appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 can also apply for this examination.

Age limit:

  • Only unmarried male & female candidates born not earlier than 02nd July 2005 and not later than 1st July 2008 are eligible.

Selection Process:

  • Written Exam
  • SSB Test / Interview

Exam Pattern:

  • Mathematics: 300 Marks (Duration: 02 hours 30 minutes)
  • General Ability Test: 600 Marks (Duration: 02 hours 30 minutes)
  • Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers.

Application Fee:

  • UR / OBC: ₹100/-
  • SC / ST / Sons of JCOs / NCOs / ORs / Women: Nil.
  • The application fee can be paid through cash deposit in any Branch of SBI, net banking facility of State Bank of India, or by using Visa / MasterCard / Rupay Credit / Debit Card.
